Dr. Timothy Evans of Hope College in Holland, Michigan has been using Tradescantia in his research studies.  His current research uses molecular markers to: 1) determine phylogenetic relationships among species of Tradescantia; and 2) detect and quantify hybridization and introgression in Tradescantia. This Web page shows the collection of various Tradescantia in different parts of the United States and information about the uses of Tradescantis in various research projects.

Jewel and Claire Reuter have been assisting in the collection of specimens and this Web page helps to archive information about the collected plants.
