In Afganistan there are approximately 203 officially recognized refugee "village" in Pakistan. Afganistan has the largest refugee ever, at times up to 6.2 millon people.

Soviet Union had invaded Afghanistan, Afghans still remained
the largest, single refugee group in the world. More than 3.5
million
refugees live in Pakistan and Iran alone.

Over one million civilians of Afganistan have been killed by the fighting in Afganistan, but those that survive face an unending hardship. Afgan refugees faces lots of diffuculty such as lack of rights, discrimination, harassment, and experience poverty. People who work in refugee village remain primitive and life is often harsh with achronic lack of food medical care and other basic neccessities.

Many of Afghanistan's war, the main victims are the woman and children. Materal mortality rates among Afghans are among the highest in the world. One forth of Afghan children do not even live to thier fofth birthday. Only 5% of women can read in Afghanistan which means woman are not allow to go to school over in Afghanistan. Afghanistan has the lowest UN gender development ranking in the world.
According to Amnesty International, "all parties to the civil war in Afghanistan have targeted indiviual civilians and the civilian population ingeneral, as a means of advancing their own political and military objectives." This is why so many Afghan have fled to elsewhere.

Unfortunately, Al notes "The end of flight does not mean the end of dealth." In Pakistan armed Afghans who roam the border regions targets their refugees of intimadation, harassment, or even assassination. They often single out "educated Afghans woman, particularly those working for the education and walfare of Afghans woman and children refugees."
