Example for calculating Average Length (avg. mm)

10% Pickle Juice with Mustard seeds might be:

3              4 (Not germinated--just length of cotyledon)

Average length = total length
                         Total # seeds
Average Length= 15mm (1 seed) + 17 (1 seed) + 14mm (2 seeds) + 12mm (3 seeds) + 4mm (3 seeds) = 108 mm                                                                                 10 seeds                                                             10 seeds
                                                                                                                                                           = 10.8 mm/seed
                                                                                                                                                               is the average length of 10 seeds
