Workshop Description:
Use Vernier sensors with computers and calculators to help your students study photosynthesis and respiration. Participants will learn to use the basics of data collection and analysis to explore real world agriculture, food and nutrition problems. Participants will integrate the use of carbon dioxide, oxygen, pH, pressure and temperature sensors to study photosynthesis and respiration and to see the actual graphical representations develop before their eyes.
Sponsorship includes: Vernier Software & Technology, Texas Instruments, and Win Cube Technologies Corporation.

This workshop is part of a research project called BioDatamationTM .

Our focus in approaching photosynthesis and respiration learning is the monitoring of practical, real-world processes coupled with a new visual theory for integrating sensor, Web content, and animation technologies with standards-based biology teaching.
